The COVID-19 pandemic has created a global humanitarian crisis, with the migrant workers being one of the worst affected groups due a loss of livelihood opportunities. Another group severely affected is the student community of Government Schools of rural areas who have limited accessibility to online learning. With our limited resources we have undertaken efforts at addressing the plight of these two groups and striving to assist at least some of these people. Our initiatives in this direction are summarized below
An initiative to offer food for families of Daily wage earners, Migrant workers, street children and rag pickers who are most affected during the lockdown. Apart from this we are also distributing sanitizers, masks, gloves, cotton, basic medicines to the front liners working during the lockdown to keep all us safe by risking their lives in India.
We have established a library to provide books for government school students (Class 9-Class 12) who are impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic. We have been able to provide books to more than 250 underprivileged students. We have already distributed close to 1000 books of different subjects to the students. We are still getting many requests from students and we are trying our best to reach and support them.
Besides the above activities we have initiated efforts for economic empowerment of underprivileged sections of the society by providing financial and technical assistance for developing livelihoods. Our current activities are
