As a part of efforts in developing sustainable livelihoods we focus on the development of sustainable livestock use and agriculture. The products from these activities are available through a variety of commercial agencies with scant regard for adulteration and contamination from pesticides and other hazardous substances. To address these concerns we are working towards standardization of techniques for assessing adulteration and contamination of food products through molecular genetics tools and chemical analysis. We aim to document our findings and disseminate the same for developing capacities of local communities in this regard.
